Bike the famous heritage Kal-Haven Trail, which spans 34 miles and takes you through orchard fields, small towns, and serene wetlands, and from Kalamazoo to South Haven. With over 48 miles of hiking and biking trails, 91 miles of waterways for kayaking and canoeing, 770 acres of protected nature preserves, and 11 miles of horseback riding trails, South Haven oozes natural beauty and activities that are sure to take your breath away and keep you coming back for more.

South Haven's downtown is lined with little boutiques and restaurants, and you can easily make an afternoon of enjoying the walkability of this lively downtown. Stroll down the main drag, Phoenix Street, and enjoy the quintessential Michigan lake town shops and fudgeries. The view on Phoenix Street heading toward Lake Michigan is something out of a picture. Sailboats coming in off the lake from a long day of sailing, people gathering near the waterfront with their ice creams, and the sun setting in the background, bliss!
